What is the connection between my profession or métier as we say here in France 🇫🇷 of Comp and Ben and a bank 🏦?

For myself none but for my ten years old boy : it is obvious : dad, you are the bank !

In reality, all came up suddenly when little Lampros made up a little story, as always, going to school and wanted to know, if it is possible for somebody to make skin transplant. I took the opportunity and told him that my company, L’Oréal is creating synthetic skin to test new products and maybe the skin transplant could be an option.
Then, he started asking what exactly I am doing for L’Oréal. I explained him that I am working for employees and making sure that are paid fair. So, his conclusion was: dad, this mean that you are the bank.

Σήμερα 07/03/2020, 42 ετών και ένα μήνα – Ω! μάι γκοντ!

Σχεδόν δύο χρόνια από τότε που ήρθα στο Παρίσι και παρακάτω είναι οι λέξεις που έχω μάθει στα Γαλλικά:

“TECHNO”/ προφέρεται σαν τη μουσική “τέκνο” και σημαίνει στα γαλλικά τεχνολογία (technologie).

“MUNI”/ προφέρεται “μουνί” με το “ου” λίγο τραβηγμένο και σημαίνει στα γαλλικά

υπό την προϋπόθεση

Την λέξη τη συνάντησα, στην πλαζ…,  όχι λάθος, σε ένα έντυπο που έλαβα από την τράπεζα και αμέσως έψαξα να βρω τη σημαίνει.

“COLOS”/ προφέρεται “κόλος” και σημαίνει στα γαλλικά ότι στέλνω τα παιδιά μου μόνα τους να κάνουν σκι κατά τη διάρκεια των χειμερινών διακοπών που κλείνουν τα σχολεία. Στα ελληνικά ακούγεται στέλνω τα παιδιά μου στο “κόλος”…

“Χαρούλα”… μια χαρούλα πάνε οι γλωσσικές μου περιπέτειες στη γαλλική και θα ακολουθήσουν άρθρα μου στη γαλλική για να διαπιστώσετε τη πρόοδο μου.

 

Μια φορά κι ένα καιρό έβγαινα κάθε βράδυ, πήγαινα σε πάρτυ, έπινα και χόρευα.

Πάνω λοιπόν στους χορούς και στα γλέντια έπεσα πάνω στη δίκη μου βασίλισσα.

Έρωτας, πεπρωμένο, απόφαση, πες το όπως θέλεις, παντρευτήκαμε και είπαμε να μείνουμε μαζί.

Σήμερα, γιορτάζουμε τα γενέθλια της σε στενό οικογενειακό κύκλο. Εκείνη έρχεται από τη Βαστιλη κι εμείς από το σπίτι.

Εκείνη είχε πάει να βάλει φόλα κι εμείς να βάλουμε κολωνια ή καλύτερα άρωμα.

Χρόνια Πολλά να σε χαιρόμαστε και να γιορτάζουμε το επετειακό μήνα προς τιμή σου: αρχίζοντας με την ονομαστική σου εορτή και τελειώνοντας με τα γενέθλια σου κάνοντας μια στάση στο ενδιάμεσο για την επέτειο μας !

Οι πάντοτε πιστοί υποτακτικοί σου και άνδρες της ζωής σου !

15h 09 Paris time, drinking espresso, somewhere @ 18th arrondissement: the usual noise of the cars moving up and down the street.

Everybody is running to get their Saturday shopping without any rush.

Nothing to say or to do, just relax and enjoy. Sometimes is so difficult to do the obvious, to force ourselves take a breath and think.

Information is running so quickly and there is no time to think of our targets.

Web browsing is so easy and so time consuming. What is the information that we really want to reach our target?

Scientifically, time spent in research is proportionally too much rather than analyzing or validating and getting concrete conclusions.

Set a target and let your energy drive you there. The same way that an archer is drawing the bow and reaching his target.

Once upon time, a young student visited Madrid to learn Spanish and to discover Spain 🇪🇸 .

After 20 years, he went back on a business trip not particularly for Madrid but because he had to.

Same person but no connection with the place. He really crossed on the other side where only the same parc: casa de campo, once staying there near the putas, now he was looking over from a hill.

Προσπαθούσα να θυμηθώ τη παροιμία «ένα μήλο την ημέρα, το γιατρό τον κάνει πέρα» και δε μπορούσα να θυμηθώ το φρούτο. 

Είπα θα φάω και θα μου ρθει…

Όταν βγάζεις άσπρες τρίχες στα μούσια, δε σημαίνει ότι μεγαλώνεις, αλλά γίνεσαι Άι Βασίλης. 

My next flight ✈️ is on 06h 25 and I need to plan how should I spent my time…

60 minutes are never enough for a transit and I am wondering if I could have a ticket for crazy 😜 nightlife at Lisbon.

The last days, I wrote four complaint letters and I got reimbursement for one them!

25% response rate which is a good one, but my target is 75% response rate.

Let’s see how Lisbon would look like and if I find a shelter to sleep during the night… I feel like the little kid with the avatar looking for a safe shelter. Taken from a game that my boys were watching during the weekend. I feel so connected flying so high and being abused in the same way with sms from TAP telling me that your flight is rescheduled for another one at 06 h 25.

Honestly, I was ready to get out of the airport and go home… I decided to stay and see if I could get anywhere.

This is the third time I am travelling when I came to Paris. At my first trip, I was bitten from insects on my hotel bed, the next time my train was terribly delayed and now I started a trip not knowing if I have a shelter to stay during the night. Perfect!

Most of my meetings are set for an hour or sixty minutes and I am asking myself are sixty minutes always enough.

Again I will start the cultural analysis, as I am deeply biased and concerned. Well, well, for my Nordic colleagues 60 minutes are more than enough, in contrast with my Greek or French colleagues where time does not really matter.

I will put an end in this lovely 😊 article by quoting my wife’s « devise » about time: she has thrown away the battery from her watch and no is broken…

I live in Europe for all my life and only today i realized there is one country in Europe that celebrates:
